The TMA institute of Counselling is served by the following resource persons with extensive clinical and teaching experience and academic excellence:
Our Director brings together academic excellence, counselling expertise, and decades of pastoral leadership. After completing his Doctoral studies from Serampore University, and serving as faculty at the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, he stepped into the world of professional counselling in 2015, driven by a passion to support individuals and families in crisis.
With a strong multidisciplinary foundation — a Doctorate in Theology from Serampore, a Master’s in Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Education from M.G. University — he brings together analytical insight and a deep commitment to human growth, enabling him to approach counselling with intellectual clarity, cultural sensitivity and compassionate understanding.
Backed by 27 years of pastoral experience in India and abroad, he brings a rare blend of intellectual depth, cultural sensitivity and spiritual maturity to the counselling field. As composed leader and exceptional teacher, under his leadership, the institute thrives as a space where empathy meets professionalism and where evidence-based practice is rooted in genuine human compassion. He is well-versed in applying psychotherapy theories effectively in counselling practice, making complex ideas accessible, practical and transformative for clients and students alike.
“Healing begins when wisdom meets compassion — and every person is guided to discover their fullest potential.”
A passionate counsellor with a heart for healing and a mind for academic excellence, he brings rich experience, human warmth and deep insight to the counselling space. After completing his Master’s in Pastoral Counselling from Serampore University, he began his professional journey as a Faculty and Counsellor at TMAIC in 2010, where he sharpened his skills to walk with people through pain, growth and transformation. As the Director of Mukti Counselling Center, Ranny, he expanded his expertise in community-based counselling services, deaddiction counselling and training groups engaged in community services.
Alongside his theological training, his Master’s in English Language and Literature and Bachelor’s in Education from M.G. University have shaped in him a deep attentiveness to diverse cultures and openness to receive the unfolding narratives of people’s lives with gentleness, curiosity and respect.
With 26 years of pastoral experience in India and abroad, he brings into the counselling room a deep understanding of people, culture and faith. With creative and effective integration of traditional therapeutic approaches with current evidence-based therapies, he supports clients in rewriting the stories they live by, empowering them to embrace hope, meaning and resilience.
“Every person carries a story worth honouring — and in every story, there is always room for hope, growth and new beginnings.”
A dedicated and compassionate counselling professional, he brings warmth, insight and genuine care to every client interaction. After completing his Master’s in Pastoral Counselling from Serampore University, he began his professional journey as a Counsellor in 2017, driven by a passion to support individuals and families through emotional challenges and life transitions.
He also served as the Director of Mukti Counselling Center, Ranny, where he contributed significantly to making counselling accessible in a village setting and offering high-quality support to people from diverse backgrounds. Alongside his counselling training, he also holds an M.Sc. in Applied Psychology, strengthening his grounding in clinical understanding and behaviour sciences.
With 17 years of pastoral experience across India and abroad, he carries into the counselling room a deep capacity to understand people’s stories, cultures and struggles. Known for his hard work, high level of empathy, and down-to-earth approach, he builds safe therapeutic spaces where clients feel genuinely heard, accepted and supported on their journey of healing and growth.
He is presently pursuing his doctoral studies, continually expanding his expertise to serve the community with greater depth and effectiveness.
“Real change begins when a person feels safe to be truly heard — and every voice deserves that space.”
